Stained Glass Hands
The illusion of light filtering through a stained glass window is achieved on these luminous artworks by students employing their shading techniques. We draw on previously learned lessons to create this effect (see the Meditative Mandalas lesson in particular). In addition to applying shading techniques, students had to learn and apply laws of color theory as well. Warm colors (red, yellow, orange) or cool colors (blue, green, purple) are selected as the theme of the artwork and students must use either specific set to complete the work.
