Have-A-Day Poster
The Yellow Smiley Face. It is one of the most recognizable images in the world, perhaps as famous as the Mona Lisa. The giant corporation that is Wal-Mart even uses it as a part of their marketing campaign. The Have-A-Day posters are humorous plays on the plain yellow smiley face.
Students recreated their own Have-A-Day poster for this assignment. Making a perfectly measured and evenly spaced grid to fit 40 different characters, they needed to get mighty creative to alter the yellow smiley face that many times. Here again we revisit the theme of repetition for this assignment, adding in elements of humor and wit as well.
