Stabiles
These whimsical paper sculptures are inspired by the famous artist Alexander Calder's large scale metal sculptures. Usually set in an outdoor environment, Calder's metal sculptures are meant to beautify the world around them. Public Art sculpture can be controversial because art is so personal and individualistic. Some people may love the Public Art set in their environment and some dislike it. Calder's sculptures are no exception. Often simple and abstract, they form an interesting observation on positive and negative space for the viewer to ponder.
Our Calder inspired sculptures are made to be eye catching and colorful. The decorative embellishments of design are sure to catch the eye of any person passing by and are worth a closer look. These sculptures are created "in the round". The viewer can walk around them and from any angle they look balanced , intentional and complete.
